About KC Global Mission Network
KC Global Mission Network is a collaborative initiative launched to connect, equip, and mobilize individuals, churches, nonprofits, and businesses in Kansas City and beyond to engage in global mission. Rather than being a single organization focused solely on one set of programs, it serves as a networking and launching platform that helps others find their place and purpose in God's global work.
It offers an “on-ramp” for people and organizations who want to make a meaningful difference in the world but aren’t sure where to start. Whether through education, events, partnerships, or shared resources, the Network empowers local mission-minded people and groups to step into global impact in a way that fits their calling, capacity, and context.

The KC Global Mission Network emerged from the extensive global work and relational foundation of Heartland International Ministries, inspired by a vision that Byron Whetstone, Executive Director of HIM, had to engage Kansas City in global mission and invite others into the story.
HIM has over 25 years of experience in global missions, partnering with local leaders around the world to reduce poverty, prevent exploitation, and spread the message of hope through education, entrepreneurship, humanitarian aid, and spiritual development.
While HIM continues to operate as a direct mission-sending and supporting organization, the KC Global Mission Network was created as a strategic extension — not to promote HIM alone, but to serve a broader Kingdom purpose by helping others engage in global missions in their own unique ways.
